Jacques-Louis David was a prolific French artist whose talents can be noted in numerous neo-classical paintings honoring monumental and influential figures from the French Revolution. Ordinarily Art is thought to only occupy the white walls of museums and galleries but David's wasnt only an art of aesthetic quality but part of a propaganda machine essential to a grander political scheme.
